Meet the Pastor

SCOTT, MELISSA, & LANDEN KENNEDY

Scott is humbled and thankful to be part of the Calvary family. He is a graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion and currently attends Liberty University seeking to earn his Master’s Degree. Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1992. Scott is married to his wife, Melissa, of 18 years and they have a 10 year old son, Landen. Scott was a former law enforcement officer and culminated in his career as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and is a certified instructor for the State of North Carolina.  Scott loves sports and enjoys coaching youth football and basketball.  He also likes to exercise and he and his family study and train in martial arts. 

Scott’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:21, “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” (KJV)
